Creating an MTA quote on a live Policy

To create a MTA quote, first use the desired policy. Either from one quote you just bought or found in the search page. Going into the results page of the policy (pressing the View button in the search page), you will be able to see the policy details and options, along with a “Create MTA” button. Click this button to begin.

The quote form should then load like a new business quote. However, the fields will be pre-filled with the previous bought quote information, consisting of user input as well as values from the original quote response provided.
One new field added is a date field called “Effective date”. This is a required field and is a date for after the original quote’s cover start date, this will be needed. If this is not filled, the MTA quote will not go through and result as invalid.

Change or edit any desired fields for the MTA quote. Once you are finished, scroll down to the bottom of the form page and press the submit button down and then a pop up window of the quote form filled out will preview to the user. Here you can review changes and then submit again for a MTA quote.

If any fields have a red warning, or an insurer is marked with the red letters of invalid, it means there is an incorrect input on the form such as a form field was left blank or with an incorrect value. Carrying out a quote with noted errors in the form will result in the following quote request being blocked/set invalid after clicking the submit button and the results page is loaded. To get a proper response back, make sure all the required fields are filled.

If you wish to save your progress and leave the quote form, you can save the form as a draft. This is done by scrolling to the bottom of the page and pressing the "Save Draft Button". Then you can exit quote form page and come back to it again by finding it in the search page, listed among the other quotes, policies, clients and other drafts.

Some fields may have warnings about certain inputs in coordination with other fields’ input and can throw a warning but will have a green warning label in the review window, before submitting. This will not block the quote though.
